Vacancy:
October 2009
Website Designer
Azure is a growing and ambitious graphic and web design company based in Sunderland, with a reputation for high quality work and excellent customer care. We deal with all aspects of new and established media from brand identity and corporate literature to magazines, websites and animation.
We are a crack team of ten young(ish) professionals – three designers, four developers, sales, admin and accounts, seeking a fourth website designer with a love and understanding of print and digital design.
Duties will involve meeting clients, listening to their requirements, developing a design concept, producing initial designs, obtaining feedback from clients and other members of the Azure team, amending designs in light of this feedback and delivering finished designs. This can take place individually, or in the case of larger projects, can involve a longer process as part of a team.
This is a challenging role. It involves working to tight deadlines and producing designs for a variety of media from magazine and print to websites and animation. The ability to code in CSS/XHTML to industry standards and with issues of accessibility in mind would be an advantage, as would advanced knowledge of Flash and Actionscript.
Based in our Sunderland office, this permanent post (subject to a three month probationary period), offers flexible working hours equivalent to 37½ hours a week.
Azure believes strongly in an equitable and fair pay structure and offers employees a basic wage plus profit share, which, based on last year’s figures, equates to a salary of £16,000 per annum, including optional pension contributions. |
