Website Programmer/Developer

Azure is a rapidly expanding graphic and web design company based in Sunderland, with a reputation for high quality work and excellent customer care. We deal with all aspects of new and established media from brand identity and corporate literature to magazines, websites and animation.

Our team of creative website developers has a vacancy for a knowledgeable programmer and web tecnician to work on the more technical aspects of database-driven sites.

Whilst experience in the industry is an obvious advantge, it is not essential. The role will mainly entail writing PHP code, the construction of e-commerce, content managed and database-driven websites.

All candidates must have an advanced understanding of static and dynamic site development, an existing knowledge of PHP/MySQL, be fully conversant with the DDA accessibility issues and site layout using CSS. A knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation is an advantage.

Hours, Wage & Benefits of the Job :
 
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Flexible start/finish Based on the equivalent of 9-5 with 30 mins lunch
  • Permanent (subject to three month probationary period)
  • Basic wage with bonuses typically in the region of £16k per anum (ask for details)
